New Zealand's tide predictions are public and excellent. They are also published as annual PDFs, which is not much help on a beach.

This site takes LINZ's own numbers and lays them out for a phone: tonight's low tide first, the week next, every month after that. It does not modify the data, does not model anything, and credits the source on every page.

What it will not do

It will not tell you it is safe to go out. It carries no weather, no surge and no marine forecast, and it says so on every page that shows a time. For navigation, use the official tables and current charts.

Who publishes it

Amit Sharma, a licensed real-estate salesperson and marketer in Auckland, who publishes a number of free New Zealand data sites including NZ School Finder and Sideline.

How it is paid for

Advertising, kept out of the first screen and away from the safety notice. Nobody can pay to appear here or to change a number, and there is no mechanism by which they could.
